About PSA
The Photographic Society of America is a nonprofit organization with more than four thousand members. The organization is established as a medium for cooperative action in promoting the arts and sciences of photography and for furthering public education therein. PSA provides members with an opportunity to participate in a multitude of services and activities. Here is a partial list.

- Evaluation Service is personalized to aid members improve their images.
- Study Groups provide members with peer level commentary within a group of participating members.
- Study Sets include a dialog and illustrations to help members learn specific techniques.
- Competitions and Contests provide motivation for improvement and rewards for achievement.
- PSA provides support services and establishes standards for International Photography Exhibitions. Entering International Exhibitions gives members an opportunity to show their work and receive recognition for artistic and technical achievement.
- PSA's Annual Conference of Photography includes tours, programs, workshops, social events and awards presentations.
- PSA Chapters are available in a number of U.S. locations and provide local and regional photographic events for members.
- Region Directors are available to help members locate and access the PSA services in which they would like to become involved.
- PSA Honors are awarded to members for achieving excellence in the art and science of photography, for significant service to PSA and for exceptional contributions to the advancement of the art and science of photography.
- PSA Membership includes a subscription to the monthly PSA Journal which has how-to articles, equipment and publication reviews, Division and Chapter news, services listings and PSA-recognized exhibitions information.
- PSA sponsors Travel Adventure Series for members to participate in guided tours of unique photogenic locations.
- PSA Travel Aids can be contacted to provide photography information about specific geographic locations.
- PSA Membership includes a Personal Web Photo Gallery.
Annual Dues
Annual dues for membership categories are shown below for residents of North America (United States, Canada and Mexico). All membership dues are payable in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank.

Membership Applications
You may download and print the Membership Application for the location in which you reside by using the links below. After printing the form, fill in the requested information and mail the completed application with your payment. Make your check payable to PSA in U.S. funds drawn on a U.S. bank or submit credit card information. Do not send cash in the mail.
The Membership Applications are Adobe PDF files. They may be viewed and printed after downloading by using Adobe Reader. The current version of Adobe Reader is available free-of-charge from the Adobe web site.

Getting Started
After your membership application has been accepted, you will be sent a welcome letter and membership kit and your subscription to the PSA Journal will be started. Examine the materials when you receive them and select the services and activities in which you would like to become involved. If you would like assistance with finding information on available services and activities, please contact your Region Director. Contact information for the representative assigned to your area can be found in the PSA Journal and is also available on the PSA New Member Services web site. If you reside in southern Nevada, please contact the PSA Region 10 Nevada Director for information on PSA services and activities participation.
